What is a Peace Zone? A Peace Zone is a microcosm of a more peaceful world, demonstrating the tangible benefits of cooperation and proactive peacebuilding.

Why a Peace Zone? Our world currently faces escalating polarity, a crisis of faith about our future, and the deconstruction of institutions. These challenges represent a change point and an opportunity for systems to break through and evolve to a higher level through second order change. Peace Zones are designed as a carefully crafted second order change strategy to seize this opportunity. 

Drawing lessons from Earth’s first extinction threat 800 million years ago, when single-cell organisms banded together to become multicellular organisms, we learn the necessity for individuals and organizations today to band together into more complex organisms to address our challenges. 

The knowledge of accelerating evolution through cooperation is encoded in our DNA. The heart of the current crisis is humanity’s inability to address the multiple challenges we face because we don’t know how to change the way we implement change. A Peace Zone provides a means by teaching us how to cooperate for the common good.
